The height will be around 1m to 1.2m, and I’m not sure what rules apply.

I want to understand:

  • Does deck height affect whether consent is required?
  • Are there setback rules I need to follow?
  • Does it change if I add a roof or pergola later?
  • Do councils treat boundary decks differently?

Trying to avoid running into issues after I build it.
